I am from France, northern France. I come from a small village called Audruicq, near Calais on the coast. When I was 18, I was offered a full scholarship to play tennis for Troy University in Alabama. So, I left France. My mom was worried that I would never come back because I would fall in love with an American man...She was so right. After playing for 4 years and graduating with a Bachelor of Arts & Science in Sports& Fitness Management, I had the opportunity to stay to get my Masters. So I stayed for another year 1/2...During that time, I met my dear husband Brian. He was in flight school at Ft Rucker, AL. He found me through Myspace and contacted me. We started to talk for about a month and then decided to meet in July. I was charmed right away after the 1st date. I made him come back to Troy the following week, and again...We started dating. Then, on May 22, 2009 he proposed to me...Of course I said "Yes"...2 weeks later we were getting married: June 5, 2009. 2 months later we were flying out to Germany for our first PCS. We are now stationed in Katterbach, Germany. We live off post in a small village and we absolutely love it! Brian left on December 23, 2009 for Afghanistan. This is his and our first deployment. It is supposed to be a 12 months tour. I am trying to see this deployment as an opportunity to start doing things I would not do otherwise.
